These blown beads are gallery quality, they are the latest from Murano a creation of our blower. They are large approximately 40mm in diameter and about 12-14mm thick with a hole size of approximately 2mm, however this varies greatly as they are mouthblown. These require two different techniques to achieve the end results. They are first blown in the traditional methods attaching the millefiori to the beads in the process. The finished bead is then taken to the grinding wheel where the glass is ground to expose the millefiori underneath and to give it a textured appearance. No two are ever exactly alike. These are limited in quantity. The base of this one begins with black or white with the revealed color also alternating with gray, black and white. Aventurina filigrana is in the window.
