Black Gold Amazonite is a member of the Feldspar family and varies in hue from Robin’s egg blue to blue-green to black, occasionally mingled with rust-brown.
This variety of Amazonite is actually a combination of Amazonite, Tourmaline and Pyrite.
Amazonite is named for the Amazon River in Brazil, where the stones are thought to have been originally found, however they are not currently sourced from this region.
These are treated (dyed-with a dye to alter or enhance their color.)
